This is what the editing screen looks like in Premier Pro, the program Noah uses.
Do you see that green box? That’s where you see the audio waves.

That flat line is dead space, you can cut that out bring your two clips together, and you’ve saved yourself valuable time.

Upvoted your YouTube video! The use of jump cuts to say more in less time is smart.
I find every minute of show has 9 seconds of dead air…that adds up! To manually cut takes me 4-5 hrs per 60 mins of show. I built a pre-processor software to cut the fat before you edit. Right now it supports MP4 / MP3 files…in 2-weeks all formats will be supported. The idea is capture native, pre-process out dead air automatically, then finish in post.
